SINGLING A DAY OF THE YEAR TO CELEBRATE PARENT(FATHER OR MOTHER) IS UN-ISLAMIC Islam does not recognize the concept of Father’s Day or Mother’s Day. In fact, to single out just one day of the year to honour our fathers and mothers is an embarrassment and humiliation to our parents. Every single moment of our lives is for our fathers and our mothers. Shariah has placed much emphasis on the rights of parents. Allah Almighty says, {Your Lord has decreed, that you worship none save Him, and (that you show) kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age with thee, say not ‘Fie’ unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word.} (Al-Israa’ 17:23) Ibn Abbas reported that a man asked the Prophet (PBUH) about the best deeds: “The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Having faith in Allah and His Messenger, then honoring one’s parents.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim). THE MIRACLES IN THE SHORTEST SURAH OF THE QURAN Is it a coincidence or a linguistic arithmetic?• Suratul Kausar is the shortest sura of Quran and the total number of words in this sura is 10. • There are 10 letters in the first Ayah of Suratul Kausar. • There are 10 letters in the second Ayah. • There are 10 letters in the third Ayah as well. • The most repeatedly used letter in this Surah is the letter “Alif” which has been used 10 times. • The number of letters which have been used only once in this Surah is 10. • Each and every Ayah of this Surah ends with the letter “RAA” which is no. 10 in the sequence of Arabic Alphabets. • All the Surahs of Holy Quran which end with the letter “Raa” are 10 in numbers and Suratul Kausar is the last of them. • The fact behind the number “10” in this Surah is the 10th day of the month Zulhijjah about which Allah subhana wa ta'ala says "فصل لربك وانحر".
